Seals of approval and quality
Biogena powder capsules are high-quality products manufactured in Austria with experience and passion. Only our capsules filled with liquid substances are outsourced to trusted and renowned producers in Switzerland and Austria.
An external institution, the LEFO institute in Ahrensburg near Hamburg regularly checks the quality of our products. Each batch is tested for heavy metals, pesticides and other contamination. Moreover, the LEFO institute ensures that our products comply with all legal demands.

The seal indicates that studies have been conducted with this product.
Biogena is tested anually by the independent institute LACON GmbH for manufactured organic products. Products with an organic seal come from organic farming and are secured due to a high food law standard.

Biogena defines products as "vegetarian" or "suitable for vegetarians" if they meet the definition of "vegan" but may also contain products from live animals (e.g. milk, poultry eggs, bee honey, or sheep's wool fat). This also applies to their ingredients or products derived from them that have been added to the product.

Biogena defines as "vegan" or "suitable for vegans" all products which do not contain raw materials of animal origin. In addition, no ingredients of animal origin were used in production. Only the synthesis of micronutrients by bacteria or yeasts cannot be excluded by this designation.
Branded raw materials
DRCapsTM are plant-based capsules that Biogena uses for ingredients that are sensitive to stomach acid. The capsules have delayed release properties, which means that they dissolve later than other capsules and release their ingredients not until they reach the intestine without the need for other chemical coatings.

NutriGellets® are colourful, yet undyed vital substance pearls that come in transparent Biogena capsules. In the NutriGellets® technology, vital substances are incorporated in a fish gelatine matrix. Due to the gelatine matrix, even sensitive substances are well protected – which means that we do not need additives or preservatives.
Hyal-Joint® is a natural product by the worldwide market leader for joint health, Bioibérica, with a high proportion of hyaluronic acid, the main component of joint fluid.

The coenzyme Q10 from Kaneka is fermented from yeast and therefore bio-identical and free of the impurities that are caused by synthetic processes. It has been used in clinical studies for over 30 years, is allergen-free and Kosher certified.

Ester-C® is a special vitamin C complex with stomach-friendly vitamin C and the vitamin C metabolite L-threonate. Via L-threonate, vitamin C is better absorbable in the body and rests in the immune cells longer. A current double-blind and placebo-controlled study shows the potential of Ester®: compared to regular vitamin C, there were higher storage rates of vitamin C in leucocytes within 8 or 24 hours. Quick absorption of vitamin C in the blood and storage in tissues are key indicators for the effectiveness of vitamin C supplementation and its immune-supporting role. This non-acidic, stomach-friendly vitamin C complex is also suitable for sensitive persons.
The Chilean company Golden Omega manufactures highly pure Omega 3 fish oil concentrates in premium quality. Due to its location in Northern Chile, Golden Omega has access to the freshest source material. Golden Omega is “Friends of the Sea” certified and fulfils the criteria for long-term and responsible fishery.

It contains a non-living strain of Lactobacillus reuteriwhich – due to its surface structure – can directly bind to Helicobacter pylori and form aggregates that can thus be excreted easily.

Calcified Atlantic Seaweed® (CAS) is a natural mineral complex, from red algae, very rich in calcium and various other trace minerals. The algae, which builds a mineral skeleton from sea minerals and which is washed ashore at the end of its life cycle, is harvested, dried and milled in remote bays. Calcified Atlantic Seaweed® is produced under strict HACCP and ISO 22000 conditions. CAS is produced without use of chemical additives, bleaching agent or solvents and is suitable for vegetarians and vegans.
Fibregum™ is a natural substance, which is 100% derived from acacia gum. Fibregum™ is highly water-soluble and therefore – in terms of taste and texture – an ideal ingredient for fibre powder. Fibregum™ is a nutritional source especially for the bifidobacteria of the bowel. Fibregum™ is non-GMO (genetically modified organisms) certified and patent-registered.

The enzyme prolyl oligopeptidase (AN-PEP) breaks down the grain protein gluten into small parts, which makes gluten easier to digest. AN-PEP is already active in the stomach, since its spectrum of activity lies in the low pH range. The effectivity of this enzyme has been shown in clinical studies and its safety has been confirmed by the EFSA (European Food Safety Authority).
